New Jersey Gold Coast

The Gold Coast of New Jersey real estate is a relatively new term nicknamed by local real estate agents, brokers, and developers in the 1980′s who realized the real estate and investment potential of the area.  Consisting of numerous cities such as Jersey City, Hoboken, Weehawken, West New York and others, the NJ Gold Coast has been an attractive destination for many urbanites. 

Located just on the west banks of the Hudson River, a clear shot of beautiful New York City can be viewed by almost anywhere along the Gold Coast.  It’s proximity to any location in the city has also made it attractive for those who frequent the city for work and play.  From the Hoboken terminal for instance, it takes less than 15 minutes to get from Hoboken, NJ to 6th & 34th St midtown Manhattan Station. 

Since the housing and credit collapse, home values along the Gold Coast have settled to more affordable figures.  A drop of about 15% was seen in most surrounding cities and suburbs.
