Newport / Pavonia Jersey City Real Estate

newporta600txtNewport Rentals and condo purchases.  Over the last several years when I speak highly of the Newport section of Jersey City, people have had this stigma that Jersey City is still the Jersey City of 1980 where industrial and Section 8 housing dominated.  Today, Jersey City has earned respect as one of the nicest pockets in New Jersey real estate.  One of my favorites is the Newport / Pavonia section.  For those that have not been there, please go there ASAP and just notice the amenities, travel convenience and cleanliness.  If you are a condo/apartment lover, it will surprise me if you do not consider living in this section after a quick afternoon visit!

Newport is a 600 acre master planned mixed use communityconsisting of retail, residential, office, and entertainment facilities.  Newport is located on the Hudson River waterfront, directly across from New York City’s World Financial District, and a stone throw south (or over the tracks) from popular Hoboken.  Beginning construction in 1985, Newport today is the setting of luxury.  Consisting of over 4,000 housing units, the master-plan has the rights to nearly 9,000 total units.  Newport has an impressive public transportation system.  The light rail makes its most popular stop at the door of the beautifully updated Newport Center Mall.  The PATH is smack dab in the middle of Newport with immediate routes to New York City’s WTC stop and 33rd Street destinations.  Do you need to get to the Jersey Shore for a weekend getaway?  Hop on the NJ Transit train in the Hoboken terminal a mile away (5 minute light rail ride) and take one of the dozens of trains to your spot.

Homeowners are quietly seeking units in Newport as opposed to other areas due to its amenities and convenience, with no compromise to luxury.  Additionally, due to market conditions, rental units and purchase prices are the lowest they have been in years.  If you are looking for a rental unit in one of the 10 towers, today you will pay about $1,900 per month for a very spacious 1 bedroom +Den, 1 Bathroom apartment with pristine New York City midtown views.  If you need more space for a family and prefer a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit, you will pay about $2,300 per month.  All towers are doorman buildings with state of the art security and shopping facilities literally across the street.

There is no realtor fee associated with these units and we have a constant update on availability in the buildings.

Newport is only one of several districts of Jersey City.  If you are looking for a rental unit or looking to purchase a condo, please CONTACT US so we may provide you with phenomenal service.
